Welcome
Arden Equestrian is a livery yard in Warwickshire run by Emma Titchmarsh.
We are a small livery yard that specialises in providing excellent facilities for competition riders and enthusiasts, catering for Eventers through to pleasure riders who appreciate a professional, warm and inviting atmosphere.
Who am I?
I started my career with horses working for event rider, Emma Castle. Whilst there I rode youngsters through to Intermediate Eventers and travelled to events all over the country. I evented the younger horses at the lower levels and during the winter hunted a wide assortment of horses in preparation for sale.
After leaving Emma Castle’s for pastures new, I took over a full yard of hunters for a Warwickshire Hunt Master to enable me to broaden my equine knowledge and experience.
I recently worked for Quainton Stud, one of Britain’s leading studs, based at Lower Denham Farm in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. My role was to back, break and prepare all their youngsters together with horses that were bought in to be sold. Some of these horses have since progressed to higher levels with top riders such as Ben Maher, Tim Stockdale and many other outstanding British riders. During my time there I assisted the Stud Manager, Vanessa Wright who is now a good friend of mine, in the covering of mares, the handling of young stock, stallion collection and many other stud duties. At times I was left in sole charge thus expanding my Equine Portfolio. I recently left there to fulfil my lifelong ambition to run and manage my own private yard. I do this to the same high standards that I apply to any task I undertake.
I have a variety of my own horses that are competing and I specialise in training youngsters from scratch. This can include the odd tricky ones!
My right hand man and team mascot is Tug!!!! Tug is a mixture of terriers, bought out of a bucket and can often be found at your feet begging you to throw a stone he has found to play with.
